My pages are showing multiple h1 tags and am just curious to know;
1. Does this hurt my rank?
2. If yes. how do i remove them since the blog tile is a h1 tag and the article titles another h1 tag

There is setting in the theme options that deals with that. I don't remember precisely where but it shouldn't be hard to find.

the option is in configure seo. I have chosen yes to make my post titles h1 but were do i change the blog title to be the h2 tag?

Have you tried shutting off all plugins?
What is the URL?
What versions are ou on?
What page shows the issue?

It will only switch the blog title to H2 on single post pages.

All my post pages are showing the blog title as h1.

am using version 3.7.7
It is not a plugin issue since have deactivated all plugin but all in vain

WordPress version 3.4.1. Have not made any changes to the theme files. Have upgraded to Atahualpa 3.7.8 but all in vain

Depends on what you put in the widget. If you coded some logic in it then sure.
