I deleted %cats from my configure header area but the category bar still shows. www.taxcourthelp.com. What am I missing, please?

Are you saying you had %pages and %cats and had two menu bars and when you remove %cats you still have two menu bars? Also the link to your site doesn't work.

Yes, I had the default light gray %pages menu bar and the darker gray %cats menu bar. I deleted %cats and the dark gray bar still shows (although no categories on it).

What about the light gray bar behind the %pages bar? There is no image for that and can't seem to change it. I'd like to only have color behind the page links that are there, if possible.

Try setting the background color for the menu to white in the theme options in ATO>Menu 1 but putting ffffff in the background color box.

I tried that but it makes the background behind the page links white, the rest of the bar is still the light gray. I did that so you can see: www.taxcourthelp.net.

I don't know what I was thinking with my last suggestion. It must have been late. What I should have said was set the background color as you want the buttons to show in their default state in that box and add the following to ATO>Add HTML/CSS Inserts>CSS Inserts

div#menu1 ul.rMenu {
background-color: #ffffff;
}

I THINK that should work for you.

Ok, that didn't work: I added that code to the top of the CSS Inserts box, saved but still gray.

I scrolled down thru that box (never been there before) and found the menu1 background line:

}
div#menu1 {
background: #eee;
}

and changed that to ffffff. That worked, the bar changed to white.

But then -- and you are going to hate this -- I decided it looked "naked" so I changed it back. But now I know how to do it.
