Wordpress Themes - WP Forum at BFA
There will be no more development for Atahualpa (or any other theme), and no support. Also no new registrations. I turned off the donation system. I may turn the forum to read only if it gets abused for spam. Unfortunately I have no time for the forum or the themes. Thanks a lot to the people who helped in all these years, especially Larry and of course: Paul. Take care and stay healthy -- Flynn, Atahualpa developer, Sep 2021

Hi there -

This is a pretty newbie question, but I developed a site on atahualpa and unfortunately lost all my work. I uninstalled wordpress from my hosting server. Then reinstalled it. I downloaded and installed the latest atahualpa version 3.5.3. all the admin works fine, but when i click any link to the site, I get a default "coming soon" page.

I am hosting the site on GoDaddy and the URL is http://www.hashman711.com

Any help with this would be appreciated.

This is an awesome theme, I can't believe how versatile it is for a designer. Thank you!

check to see if you have an index.html file in the directory you installed wordpress. It will take precedence over the index.php which wordpress uses.

Hi there -

thanks for your reply. I actually did delete the stock "welcome.html" that GoDaddy lists in the root directory. I actually deleted everything out of my root directory and then re-installed wordpress so it was the only thing inside my root directory. Now the only .html document in the directory is the wordpress "readme" file.

After this whole thing I realized it was more of a wordpress issue than a theme issue. So to the WordPress forums I go!

Any suggestions for alternatives for hosting other than GoDaddy?

Thanks again for your response. I just want to reiterate what a great theme Atahualpa is. I am not a developer or programmer, and this theme makes it so easy for a designer to manipulate the parameters for a truly custom site with CMS capabilities for my clients. Thank you.

There are lots of other hosts. I personally use a company called westhost.com

When you type http://your domain.com - if there is a file called index.HTML, it will be used, if not and there is a file called index.php then it will be used otherwise you get the 404

Ok, so the problem is resolved. All of a sudden it is working properly. Maybe there was a lag on the server updating files? Not sure. At any rate it is finally working properly.

thanks again for your help!
