Wordpress Themes - WP Forum at BFA
There will be no more development for Atahualpa (or any other theme), and no support. Also no new registrations. I turned off the donation system. I may turn the forum to read only if it gets abused for spam. Unfortunately I have no time for the forum or the themes. Thanks a lot to the people who helped in all these years, especially Larry and of course: Paul. Take care and stay healthy -- Flynn, Atahualpa developer, Sep 2021

Sorry, didn't have time to go thru all the posts, so I hope this topic isn't redundant. Anyway, how can I get the tables to center and the table content to center? Container size is 100%. I have plenty of room for the table to center, but everything is skewed to the left..butting up against the left sidebar. This has just about driven me nuts!

This is more of a w3schools.com thing as it doesn't have much to do with Atahualpa but what I do is wrap the table in a div and use CSS similar to the following in the div tag. The width is necessary for the auto margins to work so just set it wide enough to accommodate the table.
HTML Code:
<div style="width: 100px; margin-right: auto; margin-left: auto;">
Table Goes Here
</div>

Ok, maybe I stated my question wrong. I think my tables are centered in my layout, but I cannot get my images centered in the tables. I've tried all the image properties settings, cell properties settings, and table properties settings. Still can't get them to center. Now, they center when I'm in admin, but when I update and go to the browsers, not centered any longer. Still butted up to the left sidebar. Theme issue of some sort? Driving me nuts.

Ok, when I switched t the basic theme, the images are centered, so I must be missing a setting somewhere.

I just created a table and when I put the image in using the WordPress visual editor I just selected "Center" for the alignment and the picture was centered in the cell.

Mine is centered also, in the editor. Not so much, in a browser window.

Mine is centered in both. Just to double check is the selection as shown in this screenshot like what you have done?

When I'm using Tables I always do my editing in Windows Live Writer, and it works much easier. (Just google Windows Live Writer. It's a free program, but it only works on PC.)

Warmly,

I just downloaded Live Writer and created a table. I inserted an image and set text wrapping to center and published. The image was centered in the editor and the browser.

Windows Live Writer is great when you are posting to multiple blogs too. You don't have to to each of the blog's admin panels. You simply use the dropdown to change which blog you're posting too. And if you're making similar posts to different blogs, you simply use the drop down to change blogs, the previous blog post is still there, you make your minor edits, and hit Publish, and it publishes the new modified post to the newly selected blog. Can be a real time saver.
