Wordpress Themes - WP Forum at BFA
There will be no more development for Atahualpa (or any other theme), and no support. Also no new registrations. I turned off the donation system. I may turn the forum to read only if it gets abused for spam. Unfortunately I have no time for the forum or the themes. Thanks a lot to the people who helped in all these years, especially Larry and of course: Paul. Take care and stay healthy -- Flynn, Atahualpa developer, Sep 2021

What I'm trying to do seems like it should be simple, but I am missing something.

I want to list child pages in the center section (not sidebar). For example, I'd like to list this page:

http://northcoastimports.com/beta/cc...-bird-and-leaf

in this one:

http://northcoastimports.com/beta/cc...uckoo-clocks-3

and this one:

http://northcoastimports.com/beta/cc

But I want it to show up in the center, instead of using the list pages widget on the sidebar.

Can you give me a step-by-step? I tried to figure out how to add a widget area in the center, and use the FlexiPages widget, but got lost several times.

Not quite sure I understand. Do you want the second page to show up inside a frame in the first page? or are you looking to have a list of the links in the center.

If you want a list of the links, look at some of the page plugins

No, I just want to have a list of the links in the center, but I don't want to have to put them each in by HTML, as there will be a lot of child pages eventually. I want to have these child pages show up in their parent pages (in the center) as a menu.

http://northcoastimports.com/beta/cc...-bird-and-leaf

And I want to be able to add more of these menus if I need them... kind of like the wp_list_pages ... and of course, there are lots of widgets to do this, but they are for the sidebar.

Here's an example:

http://dolfkamper.org/wp/?page_id=21

The child pages of that page show up in the dropdown at the bottom.

I tried the same thing with Atahualpa, but couldn't get it to work.

Thanks for your help.

I almost got something to work with the plugin: Alkivia PageList http://alkivia.org/wordpress/pagelist

...but it doesn't seem to work with the highslide.js http://highslide.com/

Somehow, when the two are on the same page, like:
http://northcoastimports.com/beta/cc

The links on the right get confused with the picture links on the left. The picture links on the left work the right way, but the listed links on the right (from the Alkivia plugin) don't work right. They actually REWRITE the child pages to something other than I created in the WP page edit... some kind of distorted version of the parent.

This is weird. I don't know if you can help me here, but any input would be helpful.
