Wordpress Themes - WP Forum at BFA
There will be no more development for Atahualpa (or any other theme), and no support. Also no new registrations. I turned off the donation system. I may turn the forum to read only if it gets abused for spam. Unfortunately I have no time for the forum or the themes. Thanks a lot to the people who helped in all these years, especially Larry and of course: Paul. Take care and stay healthy -- Flynn, Atahualpa developer, Sep 2021

Is there a way to make a category a direct link to lets say a pdf file? If not can you tell me how I would turn off and replace your menus with another plugin?

Thanks in advance.

To remove the category menu delete %cats from Style & edit HEADER AREA -> Configure Header Area

You could also look into the source code (Browser -> View Source) and manually rebuild the menu bar with HTML (and replace one category menu item with a link to the PDF) and put that HTML code into Style & edit HEADER AREA -> Configure Header Area

Flynn,

Thankyou for your response.

What I am actually trying to do is insert the following right after the rotating header image; <?php displayMenu(1,3); ?>

I basically need to turn of the category menu (which I know how to do) and replace it with the above php code (which is from the plugin WP Menu Creator).

We re a little nervous at this moment of upgrading the rev of the theme (currently on 3.2).

Any help you can provide would be great for we really need to get this menu up and running.

Thanks again!

Since 3.34 you can add HTML and PHP at Style & edit HEADER AREA -> Configure Header Area

In 3.2 you'd have to

- put your PHP code into functions/bfa_header-config.php
- or, if the header image is the last item at HEADER AREA -> Configure Header Area, put your PHP code into header.php, after <?php bfa_header_config($bfa_ata_configure_header); ?>
