Please remember I am not a techie. I have some java script I need to put in my site so it can track visitors and show a tracking icon. I just don't know where to put it. I would like it to show up in the header area but once again don't know how to do that.

Can any help?

This could go into HTML/CSS Inserts -> HTML Inserts: Header / HTML Inserts: Body Top / HTML Inserts: Body Bottom

Visitor tracking is usually put into the bottom of a page ("HTML Inserts: Body Bottom") to ensure the whole page was served by the time the visit was counted as valid/complete
