the site is on 3.7.8 Atahulpa - switching on php 7.3 had some surprises.
Yes some plugins failed - not surprising but I did get

Not sure what this is about - quick tip would be great
Site fails to load but that is probably due to the failing plugins

Wait, you are using 3.7.8 which was released in 2012??

the last version of Atahualpa is 3.7.24 some 16 releases later than the one you have. Are you still using a WordPress release from 2012 too?

Back up your site (all files and the database)
Restore it to a test location
Update Atahualpa
see if the issue still exists.

If it does, disable all plugins and see if the issue still exists.

thanks for your reply .8 - .24 major updates? Well the modified codebase works well on 4.99 5.3 and php 7 so brilliant coding in the first place.... I might just suppress the warnings and do an upgrade at a later date.
