Where do I need insert this to show author's image on each post?

I asume that that code is from a plugin. i would create a dynamic widget area in the postformat.php sub template. Depending on teh plugin, there maybe a widget you can use in the widget area or you might need to add a php aware widget and add the code into that widget.
