Hi All
The header image in my website, seems only to rotate after I refresh the page, sometimes it changes automatically, however there seems to be no rhyme or reason to its actions.
Even deactivating all plugins, does not seem to get this rotating image to work...
(in fact i've now checked other sites I have and they are no longer working either???
So I have been thinking of replacing this with metaslider. Is it just as simple as changing
header area: %cat-right %logo %bar1 %bar1 %page-center %bar1 %image
putting in a new widget area and removing %image
I've tried various ways including this but cannot seem to get it to work.

Yes, that is how to include a widget area in place of the image.
What are your header image settings currently?

Rotate header images with Javascr set to 2
Fade in/out header images with Javascript? 2
Preload header images for Javascript rotation? no
Make header image clickable?
no
I have a local copy of the site, and the rotation works, but not on the live copy? Bizarre.

Mail Chimp is the culprit - remove teh mailchomp widget from the footer and see what happens.

I when to your site and viewed the source of the page.
I copied the source to a text file on my local comport and called it test.html
I opened that file in my browser - i see the site
I started removing code - in this case I started by removing the footer
I saved the file and did a refresh
--it started rotating
I put the footer back in
--it fails
then I removed each widget area - testing after each - till it failed
MailChimp was the culprit
