Wordpress Themes - WP Forum at BFA
There will be no more development for Atahualpa (or any other theme), and no support. Also no new registrations. I turned off the donation system. I may turn the forum to read only if it gets abused for spam. Unfortunately I have no time for the forum or the themes. Thanks a lot to the people who helped in all these years, especially Larry and of course: Paul. Take care and stay healthy -- Flynn, Atahualpa developer, Sep 2021

Header feed-links to sidebar? + redirect pages?

Hi!

I've recently upgraded my blog
http://net-prophet.net/blog/
with the Atahualpa theme
and Flynns gracious help.
It's just what I wanted, and
the results are great. I have
two probably minor problems:

* How do I get the RSS-feed-links
["Posts" and "Comments"]
OUT OF MY HEADER? They
completely trash my layout.
I want to put them in my left hand
sidebar, preferrably at the top, but
there's no visible way to edit them.

*I'm trying to build a new portal to
my large existing web site through
my blog. I made a bunch of PAGES
and tried to call my other subwebs
and pages with #REDIRECT [[ ]],
but that doesn't work with or without
< > around the URL link. You can
see my failure in the left sidebar.
It seems the redirect only works
WITHIN the blog itself.

CAN I DO THIS? IF SO, HOW?

To remove the buttons see A.Theme Options -> RSS Settings -> Show Post Feed icon? / Show Comment Feed icon?

To add them to the sidebar see http://forum.bytesforall.com/showthread.php?t=201 also click on the user's name to visit his site how he did it with a text widget

I did not understand the part with #REDIRECT [[ ]]
I don't know what that is or what that's supposed to do

All the links I saw on your site seem to be o.k. To add a link in a sidebar either use the blogroll functionality or add them through a text widget by putting this into the widget

Other Site

The title="..." part would be optional

Dear Flynn:

Thanks for the info!
That helps a lot!
You saved me from
lots more wasted time!

There's one simple thing I can't seem to do.
I want to put 2" of white space on the left
of my logo, and 1"+ on the right,
to move whole header right and leave
my logo in a large white area.

It seems like the way to do this is:
Atahualpa Theme Options
Header
Logo Image: Styling

I set these margins, trying to
create left and right spaces:
margin: 40px 20px 0 0;
But that makes no difference:
my header is still shifted all
the way to the left.

What am I doing wrong?

CANCEL LAST MESSAGE!

Hey! I got it!

The problem is the options box
has no legend for the fields.

I guessed it was LRTB.
Sadly that was wrong.
I tried TBLR and go nowhere...
I finally discovered its TRBL.

LABELS FOR THE FIELDS
WOULD HELP A LOT.

GREAT THEME!

THANKS FOR YOU HELP!
