Is it possible the choose a background image per page, and is it possible that this image is scalable? Is this something than can be made as a ATA plugin?

You can do that with CSS and some code that I believe is somewhere on the forum or my choice would be to use a plugin such as this one.

I think I tried it with no problems but I try a lot of plugins. Just throw it in and see or try out on a sandbox site.

It works great, pitty there is no scaling, but the plugin is great, I gave them 5 stars on WP.org
