There will be no more development for Atahualpa (or any other theme), and no support. Also no new registrations. I turned off the donation system. I may turn the forum to read only if it gets abused for spam. Unfortunately I have no time for the forum or the themes. Thanks a lot to the people who helped in all these years, especially Larry and of course: Paul. Take care and stay healthy -- Flynn, Atahualpa developer, Sep 2021

How do I modify the standard "Page not Found" message? I'd like to add some more useful information and links.

I'm using Atalualpa 3.6.1

Thanks!

I have had success with copying the 404.php from Twenty Eleven into the Atahualpa folder. You can then edit that as you wish.

Remember to keep a copy somewhere because if you ever upgrade Atahualpa you will need to replace it.

I know this thread is a little old now but hopefully this suggestion will help others. Almost everything I found while I was looking into this was really old, so I'm sure the topic could use a refresher. Actually, I figured out a way to create a custom 404.php page without writing any custom php code, or using another theme's template. Instead, I just added custom widget areas to index.php and built my custom content with widgets, which was really easy, even for someone who, like me, doesn't know any php. I describe how to do it here: http://miscellaniackery.com/solving-...ues-atahualpa/. Hope this is useful to someone!
