Hi, I've looked and searched all over this forum, but haven't found the answer I am looking for. I want to create a new page and when clicked, have it open in a new window.




The link will be to the right of the word "advertising". It'll say "content" and when clicked, open in a new window to a site not run by wordpress.

look at the WP custom menu options dashboard->appearances->menus
you may need to click the Screen options

I'm not creating the link as a menu though, it's as a new page. Is there a difference?

if the link is going to a new site, why would you create a page within the site?
with the WP custom menu you can add links to a menu that go anywhere.
