I would like to include a top level (Menu 1) link to an external page that opens in new window.

Any help would be appreciated.

I am adding a menu item "Weather" next to Home, Blog, About. It leads to a page outside my own site where a weather station data is displayed. I would like this link to open in a new window, but I do not see that option.

You may have to open "Screen Options" on the menu page and check the "Link Target" box.
