My ebook reader (Kobo Glo) has a browser and on it my site appears as 2 good sidebars, but the centre column is one character wide!
Can this be improved?
I much appreciate the flexibility of the theme, so maybe there is something I can set.

have you done a google search to find out if the browser has an issue displaying websites?

Thanks. I have looked into it bit more, and it seems the browser may be WebKit based, and is described as "experimental". Maybe they will improve it themselves.
However, it seems sites with "mobile view" options work well; can I do this in Atahualpa?

you could always add teh 'jetpack' plugin and activate the 'mobile' option
