Just installed NextGen's latest version 1.8.3 and activated it, and got this .....

Fatal error: Call to a member function add_rewrite_tag() on a non-object in /home/content/78/8505378/html/wp-includes/taxonomy.php on line 333

WP's functions don't work at all, can't deactivate any plugins to see what's conflicting to cause this. Funny, Ata's functions appear to be working, but the rest of WP is fubar'ed.

Any ideas on what could be causing this?

line 333 of that file by the way says the following, if this gives a clue ....

$wp_rewrite->add_rewrite_tag("%$taxonomy%", $tag, $args['query_var'] ? "{$args['query_var']}=" : "taxonomy=$taxonomy&term=");

I'd go back and reinstall the plugin especially if you did it automatically. I have it running with Atahualpa with no problem.

the module with the error is a wordpress module, nothing to do with the atahualpa code. Try turning off a couple other plugins to see if it is a memory issue...

I can't reinstall it, the site is crashed. Can't log in, can't do anything.

Use FTP and remove the nextgen plugin from the plugin folder. Then you should be able to get back in.

Ugh, I am stupid and it works now. Please allow me to flush my meds down the toilet.

Is it working because you deleted nextgen or something else?
