well I just learned something.

on the iPad, it looks like that the fact that the tag is a phone number causes the iPad to treat it as a link so you can add it to your contacts. So it takes on the CSS of a link which you have set as black so black on black = invisible

change the '-'s to 'x' and it will show up

Genius. Thank you! I wasn't sure what you meant by change "-" to "x". That's probably simpler than what I did. I changed the css code for the left column and tagline so links appear in white. Could you explain what you meant by the -'s and x's for future reference? Thanks!

123-456-7890 -> 123x456x7890 - you just have to make the iPad think it is not a phone number
