Wordpress Themes - WP Forum at BFA
There will be no more development for Atahualpa (or any other theme), and no support. Also no new registrations. I turned off the donation system. I may turn the forum to read only if it gets abused for spam. Unfortunately I have no time for the forum or the themes. Thanks a lot to the people who helped in all these years, especially Larry and of course: Paul. Take care and stay healthy -- Flynn, Atahualpa developer, Sep 2021

OSX 10.11.5 WP 4.x Atahualpa(all) Safari, Firefox, Chrome
correct, that is not a theme option. You would have to look for a plugin or dig into the code and put your own code to do that.

It's my estimate that this would be a major change to the code. If you don't have the skills to do this, you should think about hiring someone to do it if you really need this functionality

I'm not sure what your site layout is/ what your application here is, but one way I could imagine getting around this difficulty is by using a widget with those menu items instead of a normal menu. Potentially you could even get said widget to look like a second menu line with formatting and a new widget area (not sure, haven't tried it). Then, you could use widget logic plugins to control who can see it based on what pages it shows on.

yeah I know widget logic I use it but its for all not role based

I cant imagine how to make a second menu that looks like the first from a widget
but can be great but than you have to set it to be visible according to roles !!!! and there we are again

I found this
WP Custom Menu Filter Plugin
its great you have to setup menu and then find a class of page you want to hide for registred users
but a registered user has also more roles

I crucial need to make levels inside

regular registered / author / vip
and each has to have its own content in menu (not 3 different menus only 1,2 more parents)

Have you tried a plugin like S2Member? I don't know if it can do that, but it comes to mind as being somewhat close/ most likely of things I know about to help.

I started out using S2Member but it's huge and sledgehammer like to crack this small walnut. I then discovered User Access Manager (http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/...ccess-manager/) and this works for me...
