Don't like asking about Wordpress but can't figure this one out and can't get answer from Wordpress. I figure you will know the answer.

My Atachualpa blog gets lots of hits from the 'wordpress dashboard.' What is it talking about? What wordpress dashboard? I understand direct traffic, adwords referral traffic, and link traffic, but wordpress dashboard traffic?

can you give a sample of this? where do you see it? how are you measuring it?

If it's something like google analytics, it could be anything you are doing in the back end. you should see if an IP is given and see where the IP resolves too.

How am I measuring what? can you rephrase the question? The cut and paste is what wordpress gives minus the formatting.

Are you using Jetpack? Do you have stats on logged in users turned off? If you don't have the recording of stats for logged in users turned off everytime you link to your site from the dashboard it will show as a hit.

Thanks. Not using Jetpack. Don't know how to tally stats on users but wish I did. Wordpress hits doesn't match my activity. A puzzle. Many thanks, anyway.

Don't know what jetpack is. The stats are part of the wordpress dashboard that comes with the installation.
