Wordpress Themes - WP Forum at BFA
There will be no more development for Atahualpa (or any other theme), and no support. Also no new registrations. I turned off the donation system. I may turn the forum to read only if it gets abused for spam. Unfortunately I have no time for the forum or the themes. Thanks a lot to the people who helped in all these years, especially Larry and of course: Paul. Take care and stay healthy -- Flynn, Atahualpa developer, Sep 2021

Hi everyone !

This is my first post in this forum.
I'm absolutely new in Atahualpa environment.
A few days ago I've installed atahualpa themes, I'm using 3.6.4 version and 3.1 WP version.

Please anyone show me how to styling Layout Container like this nice one:
http://www.surfcoastnews.com.au/ or this nice but minimalist one: http://blitzbusinesssuccess.com/

You know what I mean, the shadow effect of the border of the web page....

And this is my noobie site : http://mitrakontraktor.com/
My Layout Container / page border just using solid 2px #cccccc style.....

Big Thanks for your help....

Regards,

Ahadi

The best advice I can give you is to start playing with the Theme options and learn what each does. As you progress you will find how each option effects the look of your theme. There is a woman who has written a beginner's guide - Carol Smith (http://friendlcomputertrainnig.com) that you might want to check out.

hi juggledad..

thanks for your help..
as your advice, I've tried to do anything I can do to set up this theme options.
for some options I had no problems coz it was logically understandable.

but some other options is seem messy to me , I've tried to tweak the style via css, and nothing happend.... I didn't know what I've to do, it is about css or I must upload some jpg / gif file as the back ground?

anyone else?

Wordpress 3.4.1, Atahualpa 3.7.7
Teaching you how CSS works is beyond the scope of this forum, although you will find many hints and how-tos if you do searches for particular issues. There are many CSS tutorials on the web.

As for backgrounds, you can set a color in various places in the theme options, or you can use an image. Yes, you'll need to upload the image file and then point to it. There are brief instructions about this in the theme options section dealing with Body Style. As Juggledad told you, spend time going through each of the theme options areas. Read carefully. Try different combinations of effects. That's the best and really the only way to learn.
