Wordpress Themes - WP Forum at BFA
There will be no more development for Atahualpa (or any other theme), and no support. Also no new registrations. I turned off the donation system. I may turn the forum to read only if it gets abused for spam. Unfortunately I have no time for the forum or the themes. Thanks a lot to the people who helped in all these years, especially Larry and of course: Paul. Take care and stay healthy -- Flynn, Atahualpa developer, Sep 2021

Limit height of sub-menus?

I tried searching, but I'm not sure what to search for! I'm trying to work out how to limit the height (depth) of sub-menus.

At the moment, on our village website, I have a top level menu item for "local businesses". When that is expanded there are too many businesses to fit comfortably in one vertical column, so that some disappear off the bottom of my screen.

Is there a way to fix the depth of the menu so that it expands across, say, two columns? Hope that makes sense.

This is the site - Much Marcle - click on Local Businesses and you might see what I mean. Depending on your screen resolution the list might be too deep to fit on your screen.

Hope that makes sense

Why not use the wordpress custom menu and build the menu by hand? Then you could group businesses under different parent menus. You could create a link at the top level called 'landscapers' and put all landscapers under, then create another for 'shops' etc.

You will have to decide on the groupings of course

The only way I know of building a menu so that it is in two columns is with a product like Likno AllWebMenus Pro and it's WordPress plugin addon. It takes a bit to wrap your head around and costs about $100 but it is very flexible.
