Wordpress Themes - WP Forum at BFA

There will be no more development for Atahualpa (or any other theme), and no support. Also no new registrations. I turned off the donation system. I may turn the forum to read only if it gets abused for spam. Unfortunately I have no time for the forum or the themes. How to control width

WP 3.0.1

I have rotating header images that are 1250 px's wide, when I look at the site on a larger moniter (I am using a 13' MAcbook Pro, the images do not span the width of the page. I thought that by having a fluid layout that wouldn't happen. Do I need to make the images wider?
