Wordpress Themes - WP Forum at BFA
There will be no more development for Atahualpa (or any other theme), and no support. Also no new registrations. I turned off the donation system. I may turn the forum to read only if it gets abused for spam. Unfortunately I have no time for the forum or the themes. Thanks a lot to the people who helped in all these years, especially Larry and of course: Paul. Take care and stay healthy -- Flynn, Atahualpa developer, Sep 2021

[SOLVED] Placing a static item over a multi-post page

Hello,

I would like to place a static element at the top of my post page:
http://www.midriffrecords.com/news

The element would basically say "News" on the left, and to the right include some links to our other sites, but I would like it to remain at the top of the post page, regardless of how many new posts are posted to the page.

I am not looking for a page title, but ideally an element (a DIV or small table) that I can edit from time to time (add a Facebook link, twitter link, etc) as I need to.

Any ideas? Thanks!

Tony

Hi Juggledad,

I tried that initially, but then the element appears on "page" pages as well. I would just like it to appear on my News page, which is the blog page. Is it possibly a CSS issue? Thanks!

Just put it in a php 'if' statement testing for is_home()
