New user here! I am using WP and Atahualpa as a website rather than a blog site so I'd like to default to a page rather than the most recent post when users go to the site. Is there an easy way to do that?

nothing to due with Atahualpa, it is a Wordpress issue - go to dashboard->settings-reading->front page displays and set the page you want as the front page.
