Wordpress Themes - WP Forum at BFA
There will be no more development for Atahualpa (or any other theme), and no support. Also no new registrations. I turned off the donation system. I may turn the forum to read only if it gets abused for spam. Unfortunately I have no time for the forum or the themes. Thanks a lot to the people who helped in all these years, especially Larry and of course: Paul. Take care and stay healthy -- Flynn, Atahualpa developer, Sep 2021

Favicon not showing on redirect

I have a custom favicon that shows up fine when the site is accessed directly through the development url. Accessing via the main url that points to the development url, however, results in no favicon.

Put simply: http://www.capegreen.info/wordpress works great with favicon

http://www.waquoitucc.org which points to the address above does not.

Any ideas on this one?

Thanks!

It is probably your method of redirection which is causing the issue. With the site that doesn't show the favicon Atahualpa doesn't know the correct path to the favicon image.

I know this probably isn't the answer you are actually asking for - but why not just install the whole site on http://www.waquoitucc.org/?

I'm guessing it's something to do with the way the redirect is set up at your webhost - but could be totally wrong!

Larry,

Can I hard code the path then?

Rosetrees - I can do that, but it's complicated. Once church member owns the domain, I set up and lease the space on the server that is running the site. If there is no other way around, I can ask the domain admin to move it from yahoo to godaddy where I host. Complicated, but not impossible if there's no other work around.

Thanks

You could play around with your htaccess file for the redirect or perhaps this favicon plugin will do the trick.

Update on this. None of the favicon plugins I tried solve the problem. I am going to see about moving the domain from it's current domain registrar (Yahoo) to the same registrar who is also hosting the site (GoDaddy). Will advise when that is done to see if it solves the problem.
