I've tried all I can think of, researched, forumed, Googled, WP'd, you name it and can't post new pages or get from the "Edit Page" to edit an individual page.

I've tried more tricks and advice posted than I can recall. I'm brain-fried! .htaccess rebuilt, I am running PHP 5, rebooted, cleared cache, everything but slap my monitor upside the screen.

Oh! Let me confess this up front...................currently hosted by.........1&1. OK! I can hear you now and you are right, of course. As soon as I can correct this, we are immediately rolling everything over to Host Gator. Not soon enough for me.

Any insight, experiences, suggestions, advice? All hypothesis welcome.

use phpMyAdmin and backup the database

1) swap back to the default theme
if you can't use FTP to remove all themes but the default
still problems?
2 disable all plugins
If you can't disable them - use FTP to remove all the plugins from the plugin folder
still Problems
3) upload a fresh copy of WP to the server
still problems?
4) use phpMyAdmin and analyse/repair/optimize all the tables
still problems?
got a back of the DB from before the problem started?
