I've just installed Category Page on a fresh install of Wordpress. I cannot get it to do anything there or on my live blog. Could someone help me figure out what's wrong? I created a category to test with, some posts in that category and a page to display it on. I linked the category to the page. But still when I click on the category all I get is

'Archive of ...' not what's on the page.

also have it installed on

http://dev1 .disabilityassistancedogs.org/

but it's not working either place.

Oh so the connections don't matter then? Use the short code instead?

Now I'll have to read up and see how to do full posts not just the list, I remember reading it in this thread. Thanks for the help!

I love the theme and am looking forward to Themeframe. I'll get the beta as soon as it's available.

I only set up the one on embril.net to figure out how to use category page to make sure there were no conflicts with any themes or plugins.

Up to "Find out what's happening..." is on the page, then there's a footer before the start of the posts from the [catlist=xx] tag.

Well, not exactly yet. However, I've been looking for a solution. I came across a plugin called Category Page Extender:

In theory one is supposed to install page2cat AND his plugin. The developer says the pagination should work correctly. In fact, he made a fix to his code specifically to address the problem (which I explained I was having). However, I have to admit that I'm having trouble getting the plugin working properly. His instructions involve adding code to the page.php which I don't think ?? exists in Atahualpa. He says to put his code after the loop, so I assumed that I should put it in the options page where 'below the loop' stuff is supposed to go. Unfortunately I get an error. :-( I'm still trying to figure out how to get it working right. But supposedly other people have gotten it to work so I don't know what is up with my set up.

Anyway, figured I'd pass it on in case you can get it to work for YOU!

No, BUT! I have found an alternative that appears to be working like a charm. It is a plugin called Page Links To: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/page-links-to/

A very nifty plugin which allows me to create a page and then tell that page to link to a url. I find out the url to the desired category page and link to it. Then that page can appear in a page menu but point to a category page. Yay!!

You can see that I've used it on my new site in the portfolio menu.
