Wordpress Themes - WP Forum at BFA
There will be no more development for Atahualpa (or any other theme), and no support. Also no new registrations. I turned off the donation system. I may turn the forum to read only if it gets abused for spam. Unfortunately I have no time for the forum or the themes. Thanks a lot to the people who helped in all these years, especially Larry and of course: Paul. Take care and stay healthy -- Flynn, Atahualpa developer, Sep 2021

So I've made some change- albeit somewhat minor ones. Curious if anyone has advice for me? What do you think of the overall layout?

Thanks!

I like the clean look. I would set a fixed width so that it doesn't look like this screenshot from my PC. I would also use a photo gallery plugin to show the pix side by side and open in a modal window. NextGen Gallery works nice for that.

So I changed it to a fixed width- I didn't even know it was doing that. Thanks for letting me know- is it better on your screen now?

As for the next gen gallery plugin- are you referring to just the most recent post with pictures- or something else?

I had to go google 'modal window' (Yes, I'm that computer illiterate)- I think I will have to work on that later as it is bound to take me awhile. After I take my final exams.

Thanks for the help!

Looks good now. With regards to the pictures yes I was referring to the latest post. If you use a gallery plugin you could have several pictures showing like on the bottom of this page.

Thanks for the encouragement ChaseMann! You are the first person outside of my family or friends that have made a comment about it. :P

I really love this theme a lot ... I have people asking me to design them up sites now. hehe.

Nice. Super clean.
Has your buddy given you any of his client's feedback on the site yet?

Great update Paulae ... it does open it up.

I keep trying other themes with other websites, but I always get frustrated and come back to Atahualpa ... I think they call that an "addiction" don't they?

I've started using Atahualpa since the beginning of the year. I switched from blogspot to wordpress and tried a lot of themes before settling on Atahualpa. I have so much fun tweaking it around and have learned a lot of things along the way.

I still make a few changes once in a while but for now I'm quite satisfied with how my site looks. The greatest theme!

Here's my site: http://verypurpleperson.com/

My site is not as purple as the name, it's my internet id actually.
I find purple a bit difficult colour to be incorporated into any design.
So your link gives me a lot of ideas. Thanks!

New to blogging as of September. Started with blogger until I found Atahualpa. Still learning but was amazed at how easy it was to create my site: www.economicnoise.com Any comments/suggestions appreciated.

Atahualpa is a perfect theme for our homeowners' association website. Have a look at it: turtleridgehoa.net.

I don't know if you're aware, but there are a couple of plug-ins to help organize your blog better.

hi. i've been using atahualpa to build cms websites. my latest is just about ready for production. the client will add korean text to the home page and will add to the business directory using posts. i need to learn how to alpha order the directory and write guidelines (with screenshots) to show the client how to add to the site.

i welcome your comments. http://www.7pineplaza.com

The "AStickyPostOrderER" plugin may help you in sorting the posts the way you want.

@lmilesw - thanks for the plugin tip. it worked great to order the posts! it doesn't reorder the posts automatically (i have to go into the plugin to do that) but the end result is cool.

i appreciate it!

nice site. i like the look. how did your get the dark bar to span the window across the top? i usually set a fixed width; is that the effect of using a % width?
